18 months.

Wilson is officially a year and a half old. He is a ball of energy and seems to learn something new every  day.

  • He repeats everything EVERY.THING. It is a lot of fun to hear him repeat a new word and watch him as the light bulb clicks on when he understands something new.
  • He started "soccer" this month. It is so much fun to watch him run around with other kids. When his coach says "Ready?" Wil always repeats "READY!"
  • He loves to color. He colors at school. He colors at home. He colors in the car. He colors in the bath tub.
  • He can't jump. At least not yet. He is trying really hard but it mostly ends up with stomping.
  • He can sing. There are a few songs that he knows from the Kids Place Live radio station and we have a great time on our morning drives singing along. He is pretty much in tune too.
  • His favorite things to say include "Yellow," "Purple," "Green,""Help Me?" or "Help You?" He also says "breakfie"=Breakfast, and "Oppupu"=Octupus.
  • He knows all of his animal sounds.
  • And he is just plain fun. Michael and I couldn't be more proud of him and we just love being parents to this little guy!

Under the Wire.

I'm getting this post in just under the wire of not posting for an entire month! It is that time of year when things get extra hectic around our house. In just 2 and a half weeks Wilson, my mom and I  will head to Orlando for the GEOINT 2012 Symposium. I'll stay busy working and they will stay busy playing for 8 days!

In the midst of a busy work calendar, Ashley and I are training for the Richmond Half Marathon on November 10th and Wilson started Soccer Bugs on Saturday mornings. "Soccer" is certainly used loosely during this class but he seems to have a great time! It is really nice to have a family activity on Saturday morning's too.

Aaaandddd last night Wilson used the potty for the first time! We certainly aren't pushing him to potty train, but we've had one in the basement bathroom for a few months, just to try out whenever he is interested. We were super proud of him!

Our friend Katie took this photo of the kiddos. This is Wilson running away while Grier, Jackson, Colin and Evan sit nicely. Silly boy!
